Ginger here has been through a lot of change recently. She lost her family, was taken in by a friend with great intentions, and was then surrendered to MCR because she couldnt adjust to living in the new home with the other dog. We think that Ginger needs a quiet space with a family who will allow her to decompress.
Ginger is about 8 years old and has been calm and curious toward every human here. Shes understandably confused by yet another change in her life circumstances, but shes handling the process like a trooper. Ginger is now fully vetted and will need her next family to help her lose a few pounds through a healthy diet and regular exercise.
Were told that Ginger has not been good around any other animals or around children. Because she has spent the past week in quarantine, weve yet to evaluate that for ourselves. We do know that she is both house- and crate-trained and that she knows several basic commands, and we suspect that her reactivity in some new situations is manageable.
